Hi, JacquelineYep. I attended a wonderful course, offered by the Red Cross to learnCPR and other stuff. I recommend it to every pet owner. Most coursesare 1-hour long and they only show you how to recognize an emergencyand how to prepare your pet so the vet can better care for him. TheRed Cross course (4 hours) teaches us CPR and many other things we cando to save our pets. Sometimes, depending on where we are, there's noway to get to vet quickly enough...

Hi Daniela,
This is a great and informational video. I have four dogs and would not have known the exact steps to go through. If I ever see them coughing I usually give them a pat of the back and rub their tummy. I guess I figured that if anything serious happened I'd just rush them to the emergency Vet Hospital down the street but like Bill said it's a benefit to know the skills of CPR for your dogs.

I agree, Bill. It's very difficult to keep up with all we have to knowfor an emergency if we don't train every now and then. That is whydoctors have to get CPR training every year.

First aid for dogs, just like first aid for humans, is an effective combination of knowledge, supplies and skills, put into action for the benefit of your four-legged friend.
