Daniela Caride

Daniela Caride is The Daily Tail’s founder and publisher. She has been a journalist for the past 15 years and is pursuing a master’s degree in journalism at Harvard University.

Daniela moved to the United States from Brazil three years ago to marry her lifelong friend Martin. She lives in Cambridge, Mass., with Martin, three cats and three dogs. They are tuxedo Phoenix, gray tabby Gaijin and orange tabby Crosby; her two Bernese Mountain Dogs Frieda and Geppetto; and Lola, a 110-pound Saint Bernard.

Jewel Gilbert

Jewel Gilbert is The Daily Tail’s editor. Her professional life has included grant writing, training, program management, and consulting for nonprofit organizations. She is finishing her first novel and working on a series of children’s stories about the adventures of her dog Emma, the Goldendoodle who has run her life for the past five years.

Jewel lives somewhat peacefully in Cambridge, Mass., with Cheryl, her partner of 21 years; Emma, a certified therapy dog; and Mingus, a 18-year old gray tiger cat who entertains himself by blocking computer screens, howling and stealing the dog’s food. The dog doesn’t seem to mind.
