| Charley the cat has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). He requires no special care, is not in pain and his life will be as long as any other cat’s.
CH is a condition in which the cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls a cat’s coordination, isn’t fully developed, according to cat expert Jane A Kelley. A cat with CH may stagger and miss the target when pouncing or reaching for objects. And, as you’ll see in this 2-minute video, a cat with CH can be really cute. |

Charley is a great cat and was lucky to find the right person! They must be a very happy family!
I'm sure they are! Did you see him falling on the bed? So cute!!
I love Charley and his owner is obviously a wonderful person! Thank you for sharing. Animals are amazing.
Kelly, I was so in love with this video of Charley! I hope one day I'm able to rescue a cat as adorable as him.
Jan, thanks so much for the comment and for showing me this link! I find Charley so cute I would love to have a kitty like him at home.
:-)
I just signed up for The Daily Tail, and am impressed with the variety of stories. As a rescuer of many cats and kittens that would otherwise be living as ferals on the streets, I’ve come across my fair share of cerebellar kitties. I’ve seen the video of Charley many times, and it’s a “must watch” for anyone finding themselves owned by one (or more) of these special cats! And this is a great time to share this website which is dedicated to cerebellar hypoplasia kitties, and is a great source of support for new parents of these amazing cats.

It’s videos like Charleys that help people see the beauty and determination of these cats, and educate new persons about the care and needs of not only CH kitties, but special needs animals in general. So many are still needlessly destroyed, but times are changing!
Like potato chips, once you have one CH kitty, you need more. =^..^=
