Tavo is a lucky little dog. He survived falling into a well about ten meters deep in Queretaro, Mexico.
The water was shallow enough for him not to drown but deep enough to break his fall. The 10-pound white Poodle was stuck in the well for nearly a month. Neighbors could hear a dog in distress but didn’t realize the sounds were coming from there. Finally, someone got close enough and saw the dog, named Tavo after his rescuer, firefighter Gustavo.

Firefighters in Mexico prepare to go down the well.

Firefighter Gustavo heads down.

And down.

Tavo gets a lift on Gustavo's back.

Tavo comes out of the well all dirty and hungry. A crowd gathered to see the rescue.

Tavo, a few days after his rescue, shaved and bathed.

Two months after rescue, Tavo has gained weight and is ready to be adopted.

All is well when it ends well!!!!
And outside the well, Marcia ;-))
Lovely! Wish I’d bring Tavo home.
Hi, Ginny
Tavo is now living with an elderly in Mexico and doing great. He went to the vet yesterday! Isn't he cute? Lucky guy…
