The Daily Tail is a daily blog about Daniela Caride’s life with three dogs, three cats, her husband and the countless other animals she meets.
Daniela’s life is all about animals. She walks her own dogs, dog sits for others and volunteers for animal programs. When Daniela is not picking up poop, buying pet food, or studying somebody’s training methods, she’s usually writing. One thing is for sure — she never runs out of material.
That’s why The Daily Tail includes dog and cat stories from Daniela and other writers. The blog also carries reviews, fun posts as well as tips on health, safety and how to have a pet on a budget.
The Daily Tail’s staff wants to hear from you! So post comments and send us your stories. (See our policy below.)

Wanna send us a product for reviewing?
Read this first…
- The Daily Tail does not participate in product placement. Daniela will never cite a product on a post to generate buzz and cash a check.
- The Daily Tail does not accept money to write reviews.
- Daniela runs reviews of products she buys or sent to her. In each review, Daniela is explicit about who paid for the product or service.
- Daniela will always post her honest opinion about the product with constructive criticism on how the manufacturer can improve the product (if applicable). So, when she raves about something, it is because she is truly excited about it.
- Daniela doesn’t review products that she doesn’t recommend. Products sent to The Daily Tail that did not perform well won’t be mentioned.
- Products and services that perform well are reviewed and given a grade (“excellent,”"very good,” or “good”). When the post is published, the manufacturer can get a “The Daily Tail Rating Badge” for displaying the product review on the company’s web site.
- The grade attributed in a review can improve if the manufacturer or provider enhances the product or service, Daniela retests it and changes her mind.
What to send:
- Daniela tests cat and dog products and services, with the help of her four cats and three big dogs.
- Daniela doesn’t test daily pet food (canned or dry food for daily feeding).
- Daniela tests cat and dog treats.
- Don’t bother sending me your products if they contain animal by-products. They won’t get a good grade. Daniela only tests items free of animal by-products.
- Any product sent to Daniela won’t be returned. Anything that cannot be tested will be donated to the MSPCA.
- In case you are sending dog products, keep in mind our dogs are 85 pounds and 110 pounds (two of them). If you send me a tiny dog toy, I won’t be able to test it.
